ICES scientist Jacob Udell recognized for cardiovascular research

ICES adjunct scientist Dr. Jacob Udell has received a Young Investigator Award from the Canadian Cardiovascular Society in recognition of his contributions to cardiovascular health and care. The award was presented at the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress in Vancouver on Oct. 22.

Dr. Udell is a cardiologist at Women’s College Hospital and the University Health Network, and a clinician scientist at the Women’s College Research Institute and the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. His research focus is on cardiovascular outcomes, with an emphasis on sex-based differences in risk and response to therapy, and innovative cardiac risk evaluation and models of care.
