ICES scientist Dr. Robert Fowler appointed to 2016 Order of Ontario

Congratulations to ICES adjunct scientist Dr. Robert Fowler, who will be invested into the Order of Ontario, the province’s highest official honour, on January 20, 2016. Dr. Fowler worked with the World Health Organization to treat people with the Ebola virus during the 2014 outbreak, and has authored a number of publications on the clinical presentation of Ebola, as well as critical care and treatment for the virus. His research focus includes palliative and end-of-life care, intensive care, health services research, and equity in healthcare. He is also a critical care physician at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
