ICES scientist Dr. Eric Benchimol receives 2015 Rising Star Award from Crohn’s and Colitis Canada

Congratulations to ICES scientist Eric Benchimol who received the Rising Star Award from Crohn's and Colitis Canada at their annual conference on November 7, 2015.

The award acknowledges the basic or clinical research accomplishments of a junior/newly emerging investigator in the field of inflammatory bowel disease, within five years of their first faculty appointment. Nominated by their fellow scientists, recipients of the Rising Star Award are innovative and productive leaders who have made an outstanding contribution to supporting Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s mission.

As part of receiving the award, Dr. Benchimol made a presentation on Epidemiology and Health Services Research of Pediatric IBD in Canada: Lessons from Health “Big Data”.
