ICES Western scientist and site director Dr. Amit Garg appointed to Ontario Renal Network’s medical leadership team
Congratulations to ICES scientist Amit Garg who has been appointed as a Provincial Medical Lead for the Ontario Renal Network, to support initiatives for the transport portfolio of the Ontario Renal Plan II.
Together, the Ontario Renal Network's medical leadership team will work to strengthen the kidney care system in Ontario in order to better serve the needs of people at risk of or diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. The Provincial Medical Lead team will support change initiatives within specific priority portfolios, cultivate bold systems thinking and promote a patient- and outcome-focused approach.
In addition to his role as ICES core scientist, Dr. Garg leads the ICES Kidney, Dialysis and Transplantation Research Program and is the site director for ICES Western in London, Ontario.
