Senior Adjunct Scientist (Full Status) ICES UofT Populations & Public Health Research Program

Biography

Sarah Wilson joined ICES as an adjunct scientist in 2014. She is a public health physician and medical epidemiologist in immunization and vaccine-preventable diseases at Public Health Ontario. In this role, she provides medical and scientific support for the surveillance of vaccine-preventable diseases, immunization coverage assessment, outbreak management and participates in applied research focused on vaccine program evaluations. Dr. Wilson completed her family medicine residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Public Health and Preventive Medicine and a graduate of the Public Health Agency of Canada's Canadian Field Epidemiology Program. She is also an assistant professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. Dr. Wilson’s research interests include immunization coverage assessment, immunization program evaluation, and public perceptions of immunization programs and vaccine-preventable diseases.
