Baiju Shah is a scientist at ICES, an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and a staff physician in the Division of Endocrinology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Shah received his medical degree and completed post-graduate training in internal medicine and endocrinology, all at the University of Toronto. He then completed a PhD in clinical epidemiology at the University of Toronto. He is funded as a new investigator by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Key research Interests include: models of delivery of diabetes care, including diabetes education; quality of care and outcomes for gestational diabetes; and health care for ethnic, immigrant and aboriginal populations.
