Anne Rhodes is an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and cross-appointed to the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. She is also an associate member of The Offord Centre for Child Studies.
Dr. Rhodes has specific expertise on mental illness, suicidal behaviours and service use. She is a former psychiatric nurse whose Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care career scientist award focused on the population-based care of depressed and suicidal individuals. She is currently leading investigations on suicidal behaviours in Canadian youth, with numerous publications on this subject. She has extensive experience working with longitudinal individual level health data with an advanced knowledge of epidemiologic methods and statistical analyses. Dr. Rhodes has been an adjunct scientist at ICES since 2003.
