Biography

Dr. Flory Tsobo Muanda is an adjunct scientist in the Kidney, Dialysis and Transplantation (KDT) Program. He is a pharmacoepidemiologist and assistant professor at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology and Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Western Ontario. Flory's research program aims to improve prescription-drug safety for older adults. His particular focus is on older adults who have chronic kidney disease, chronic liver disease, and those who take multiple medications. Flory conducts population-based studies using Ontario’s administrative healthcare databases housed at ICES to inform safer prescribing practices for older adults, a segment of the population often excluded from clinical trials.
