Michelle Greiver

Dr. Greiver is very active in community-based primary care research and Practice Based Research Networks (PBRN) in Canada; mentoring many through UTOPIAN, and embedding clinical research in community based clinical care in North York as part of a PBRN. Her research in piloting new methods of coding and improving data quality in EMRs has led to an ongoing data quality improvement program with an increasing number of health conditions and family history cancers being coded. EMR implementation and meaningful use is increasing due to her research. She has secured over $12M of grant funding over the last five years. She is actively working to increase the availability and access to EMR data for research, program planning and quality improvement.
