Robert Campbell

Robert Campbell is a clinician-scientist and deputy head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Queen's University. Dr. Campbell studied medicine and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Ottawa, where he was a gold medallist and valedictorian. He undertook his post-residency fellowship training in glaucoma surgery at the University of Toronto and cornea surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England. He has an active research program focused on the assessment of eye and vision health care quality, access and safety, which has had significant impact nationally and internationally. Dr. Campbell is co-founder of the Queen's University Ophthalmology/Micro-Electromechanical Engineering Research Team, which is focused on the development of innovative surgical devices to improve eye surgery outcomes.
