Sarah Buchan

Adjunct Scientist (Full Status) ICES UofT Populations & Public Health Research Program

Biography

Sarah Buchan is a scientist at Public Health Ontario and an assistant professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. She holds a PhD in epidemiology from the University of Toronto, during which she explored the use of linked laboratory and administrative data to study pediatric influenza and other respiratory viruses. Dr. Buchan's research interests include studying the epidemiology of vaccine preventable diseases, estimating vaccine coverage and vaccine effectiveness, and evaluating the impact of immunization programs. She is also interested in estimating the burden of infectious diseases in Ontario, with a particular focus on priority populations.
