Dev Chopra brings to the ICES board extensive senior leadership experience across multiple organizations in the broader public sector.
Over a 45-year career, Dev Chopra has held transformative roles in health care delivery, strategic planning, finance, human resources, information technology and real estate development. Currently chief administrative officer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, Chopra has held responsibilities as varied as EVP, Clinical Programs and EVP, Corporate Services at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health; Vice President, Finance at Ontario Hydro; and Vice President, Administration and CFO at Humber College.
Chopra has served as a board member of a number of organizations. Four of these―the Institute for Work and Health, Mackenzie Health, Assurex Limited and the Liberty Village Family Health Team―have provided him with varied perspectives on the critical need for investment in health care research.
Chopra has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Jabalpur Engineering College and an MBA from McGill University. He attended Harvard University’s executive development program and holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
