David Juurlink, BPharm, MD, PhD, FAACT, FACMT, FRCPC
David Juurlink joined ICES as a scientist in 2003. He is also a staff physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine and head of the Division of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. In addition, Dr. Juurlink is a medical toxicologist at the Ontario Poison Centre.
Dr. Juurlink has degrees in pharmacy and medicine from Dalhousie University in Halifax. He completed postgraduate training in internal medicine, clinical pharmacology and clinical toxicology at the University of Toronto. He also holds a PhD in clinical epidemiology from the University of Toronto.
Dr. Juurlink is Vice-Chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Nucleus Committee in Clinical Pharmacology, a member of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Committee to Evaluate Drugs, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology.
