Dr. Anderson is currently an Adjunct Scientist at ICES and a Professor, in the Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, where he holds the chair in Health Management Strategies. He completed his undergraduate training at Carleton University and his medical training at the University of Ottawa. After interning at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, he was awarded a National Health Fellowship and completed an MSc in Community Medicine (Health Administration) at the University of Toronto. He was then awarded an Ontario Postgraduate Fellowship and a Pew Foundation Health Policy Fellowship and completed a PhD in Health Policy Analysis at RAND in 1988. Prior to moving to Toronto, he held academic appointments at the University of Ottawa and the University of British Columbia.
