Baiju Shah, MD, PhD, FRCPC

 

Dr. Shah is currently a Scientist at ICES. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and a Staff Physician in the Division of Endocrinology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Shah received his medical degree and completed post-graduate training in internal medicine and endocrinology, all at the University of Toronto. He then completed a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Toronto. He is funded as a Clinician-Scientist by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Canadian Diabetes Association.

 

Key Research Interests: 

  • Models of delivery of diabetes care, including diabetes education

  • Quality of care for gestational diabetes

  • Health care for ethnic, immigrant and aboriginal populations
