Validation of a renal algorithm to identify people with renal disease in Ontario

Renal disease is a common condition in the general population.  However, it can often go unnoticed and may therefore be under-reported in administrative databases.  Creatinine clearance is commonly used as an indicator of renal status, however, it can be influenced by body mass leading to either an under- or over-reporting of creatinine clearance.  This study will examine whether the level of creatinine clearance will predict outcomes of renal disease.
