Association between socioeconomic status, stroke care, and outcomes

Previous research has found that socioeconomic status is inversely associated with stroke case fatality; however, the reason for this association is unknown.  This study plans to analyze data from the Registry of the Canadian Stroke Network to determine whether stroke presentation, severity, management, and in-hospital outcomes differ in persons of different socioeconomic status.
