Ann Tourangeau, RN, PhD

 

Ann Tourangeau undertook her doctoral thesis work at ICES and earned her PhD from the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta in 2001. She joined ICES as an adjunct scientist later that year. Her primary appointment is Associate Professor at the University of Torontoin the Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. 

 

Key Research Interests:

  • Outcomes research, particularly related to nursing determinants of quality outcomes such as mortality/survival and unplanned readmission to hospital
  • Nursing staffing indicator development
  • Health care work environment
  • Risk assessment and adjustment methods
  • Health care database development
