ICES senior scientist Dr. Nancy Baxter inducted into the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences

Congratulations to ICES senior adjunct scientist Dr. Nancy Baxter, who was inducted as a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences in September 2016. Fellows are elected to the Academy by national and international peers in recognition of their contributions to the promotion of health science. This honour is considered one of the highest for leaders in academic health sciences in Canada.

Dr. Baxter conducts health services research on cancer screening and surgery, as well as evidence-based medicine and healthcare quality. She is also the chief of general surgery at St. Michael's Hospital and the associate dean at The University of Toronto Dalla Lana School of Public Health.
