ICES scientist Dr. Amit Garg recipient of the American Society of Nephrology Young Investigator Award

Congratulations to Dr. Amit Garg, ICES senior scientist, who has been awarded the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) Young Investigator Award. The award will be presented to Dr. Garg at ASN’s annual meeting, ASN Kidney Week 2016, held November 15-20 in Chicago.

Every year, the Young Investigator Award is presented to one individual 45 years of age or younger “with an outstanding record of achievement and creativity in basic or patient-oriented research related to the functions and diseases of the kidney.”

Dr. Garg is the program lead of the Kidney, Dialysis & Transplantation Research Program at ICES, professor of medicine, epidemiology and biostatistics at Western University, and director of living kidney donation at the London Health Sciences Centre.
