Head and Neck Cancer Surgery in Ontario, 2003‒2010: An ICES Atlas

Share

This study was conducted in collaboration with Cancer Care Ontario, using data from the Ontario Cancer Registry and several population-based health administrative databases.

The atlas describes the extent of surgery and related health services provided to Ontario adults diagnosed with cancer of the oral cavity, larynx/hypopharynx or salivary gland between 2003 and 2010. For each cancer, the atlas examines the impact of patient factors (age, sex, income level, community size, and Local Health Integration Network of residence and of treatment) and provider factors (surgical specialty and hospital type and location) on the healthcare provided.
