Biography

Dr. Claire Kendall is a professor with the Department of Family Medicine and cross-appointed to the School of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Ottawa, senior investigator at the Bruyère Research Institute and clinicienne-chercheure at the Institut du Savoir Montfort. She is also associate dean, social accountability of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. She holds a University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine Clinical Research Chair in Strengthening Primary Care for Integrated Health Equity. Her research aims to identify and address gaps in family medicine capacity to care for underserved populations through analyses of linked health administrative data, and to empower patients and communities through patient and stakeholder- and community-engaged research methods.
