Timothy Hanna

Adjunct Scientist (Full Status) ICES Queen's Cancer Research Program

Biography

Working within the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research/Cancer Care Ontario Health Services Research Program, and based in the Queen’s Cancer Research Institute (QCRI) Division of Cancer Care and Epidemiology (CCE), Dr. Hanna’s research focuses on three translational streams of health services research: quality of care, value of care and access to care.

As a cancer health services researcher, Dr. Hanna’s findings help identify ways to improve population health by driving improvements in cancer care delivery. His goal is to translate cutting edge knowledge from clinical trials into widely adopted, accessible and high quality interventions available to all Ontarians who need them.

Dr. Hanna’s vision is that by developing the means to improve cancer care delivery, patients in Ontario and beyond will live longer, and without cancer. They will have better symptom control, survivorship and quality of life. This will translate not only into benefits to patients with cancer, but also their families, and society, provincially, nationally and globally.
